I don't understand why we never see in these pure striker vs grappler matchups why the striker never just comes out swinging? We know you are going to get taken down and then lose in most cases, but your only shot of winning is a lightning quick ko… Pat Smith vs Royce Gracie is another situation like this. Pat should have immediately gone for a head kick right out of the gate. He probably still loses but that way you never know.
