By the way, some police officers train in aikido to use it to subdue aggressive people. Aikido is only as good as the person trained in it. Sure, an aikido practitioner who never was in a real fight would probably lose a fight if he got into one. But that would be true of anyone trained in any fighting style who lacked real life fighting experience.
