They were superior in all ways possible at that time and they were very close to eradicate humanity up until a volcano disrupted the natural order of things while the remaining humans hid in caves, neanderthals were dying on the surface.
They came attacked and murdered all the men, children and elderly. Then captured, drug away all the women, raped who knows how many times and then killed them to. The Neanderthals between Europe & Africa where the worst, literal Werewolves. They hunted in packs, were super hairy, super jacked, could smell way better & see way better in low light conditions then Humans. The eastern Asian Neanderthals were the ones not as scary or dangerous and more like the ones we know from common knowledge & pictures of. The monster ones where real though and took us close to extinction. Man, that was probably one of the most terrifying nightmare inducing things we had to deal with back in those days. Scary cannibal monsters creeping up on your little village in the middle of the night.
