Being “lukewarm” is mixing law + grace! You’re either all law, or all grace! Many professing Christians are mixing law+grace! “I have to turn from my sins to stay saved” you’re unconsciously saying “I have to follow the law to stay saved” that’s mixing law + grace! It’s works salvation in disguise!!! You’re not relying fully on the finished work of Christ!
