They gave the boy multiple chances, 4 if I remember correctly, first time they strung their bow at him in his canoe and he turned around quick, the next 2 times he made it ashore with some fish, he was imitating the sounds they made, which made them laugh, when he came back again holding his bible in front of his chest, they shot an arrow into the bible, and then he still went back the day after, but this last time the guys in the support boat didn't go with him, so I don't have any info about what took place. I heard they buried him right there in the sand. I feel like they were as respectful as one could ever ask. Imagine some strange fanatic alien going to a home in Texas or something banging on the door , time after time, even after warning shots were fired.
