The second fight was an obvious fix. The one that was a documented fix was the first fight Clay Liston fight. The FBI was watching because of Ash Resnick believed to be a guy who got people point shave in pro and college basketball and Listons manager. The FBI watched Resnick alot but never got the goods on Resnick. Wilt Chamberlain was seen alot around Resnick in 68-69 and was rumored to be on the take for Rsnick.While bugging his phone a well known texas Gambler was told by Resnick not to gamble on it and The gambler would see why after the fight. Previously he told him Liston in 2 rds from what i remember. Ali was probably the dirtiest heavy weight champ ever even in the first liston fight he was adept at grabbing behind the neck with his gloves. Watch the Foreman fight and you can play a drinking game and get smashed pretty quick drinking every time Ali Grabs George behind the neck over 100 times and Ali never gets a point taken AWAY. Ali did this alot especially after this fight. In the mid 70's Ali did this with impunity. Joe the FBI also has a file on the two Ali Spinks fights but is still sitting on the conclusions most likely because Bob Arum won't die. You have to think they believe a fix there too but wont release it until Arum dies and goes to hell. The FBI dosent like spending money on defamation suits so we will have to wait until Arum is no more to hear of two more fixes.
Before you celebrate Ali's TKO of Cleveland Williams in 1966, consider that Williams was already a has-been. Sonny Liston had KO'd him twice when Williams was in his prime (1959 – 3 rounds; 1960 – 2 rounds). In 1964, Williams was shot in the stomach with a .357 magnum, which required 4 surgeries and a lengthy convalescence, causing him to lose 60 lbs over 17 months. The gun shot wound resulted in the removal of his right kidney, loss of 10 feet of small intestines, partial paralysis of hip muscles, and nerve damage that caused atrophy in his left leg. In November 1966, Ali beat the crap out of a fighter who was, to say the least, damaged goods.
That was a legitimate punch, it' also known as a "pull-back-counter-punch" floyd mayweather made a livin' off of this ultra-slick-technique. It takes perfect timing and "cat-like" reflexes. What's happening is that, you're using your opponents aggression/forward momentum against himself. They are (essentialy), running into the punch and like the saying goes, any real boxer will tell you, that it's the punch that you don't see that will put you to sleep. Ali cracked-liston's-ass!!!!
Imagine Ali in his prime in joe rogans podcast. That would be legendary!
