I don't think people are happier in their roles in life with what one might call 18th 19th and 20th century gender roles, that being said many aspects of modern feminism are outright rejection of the instinctual and spiritual feminine, Basically we as a society have started to demonize the Feminine and the Masculine themselves, we praise masculine traits in women and denounce them in men, while praising feminine traits in men and ignoring them in women, This is hardly the hermetic balancing of the genders, this is the diminishment of them, and the results are two genders that are now significantly less attracted to one another.
The truth of the matter, is that both genders crave the opposite gender role in their partner and it is perfectly natural. My girlfriend is fantastic and I love her, and we are pre engaged, but we both like at least to a certain degree assuming the normal gender role in the relationship, this is instinctual and natural and everything that Communist influenced sociology is rejecting.
