That ruby ridge story is insane. I looked into it and the official report on the officer shooting a 14 year old boy in the back who was running away is ruled as self defense. The sniper who blew the wife’s brains out only got charged with manslaughter, while the friend who killed the officer was charged with first degree murder. Talk about stacked power dynamics. The people in power dictate they did nothing wrong and pursued the max allowable punishment on the other side.
