The problem is the feeling from opiates makes you more “happy & funny”, I know that personally. I’m not talking a nod from H, but 20mg hydrocodone, or 10-20 mg of Oxymorphone, and you’re a “chatty Kathy”, but I’ve gotten that “feeling” when you just discontinue use, which was bad enough from a prescribed amount of pain meds, and lasted a few days and back to normal. I can’t imagine what you go through from w/ds of heroin use for years and just stopping. Artie’s’ s story of puking 20 percocets up in the Port-O-San on the floor and picking them up from the floor and swallowing the puke and piss covered tablets is beyond taking 1 or 2 with a beer. 1-2 tablets made me sick to my stomach, and taking legitimately for pain, I can’t imagine 20 tablets, in one sitting on your stomach, especially in combination with acetaminophen, which is what ? 325 to 500 mg per tablet ? Luckily Artie still has a liver. I even think he said he took 100 Vicodin to stave off w/ds in between his heroin fix between NY & LA on a flight, his liver should be toast. 100 Vicodin should last a month.
