but I met more people of color make fun of me for my skin color or claim I'm racist because I said something offensive which I don't understand what I said what was offensive
even tho I hear them saying n this n that WHATS UP WHITE BOY
I mean it doesn't bother me but as soon as I say WHATS UP BLACK BOY I get so much hate
At school, we read a book about the story of Claudette Colvin, the original person who boycotted the Montgomery busses during segregation. In the book, when she gets arrested on the public bus, two police officers assault her and treat her with very little respect at all, making racist and sexist comments. And then, someone else in the class who wasn't white said. "Hey Eli, are you one of those white police officers?" No one pointed out any bullshit, discrimination, or anything. No one even considered it. if I compared one of the black students to Claudette or any other black character or passenger on that bus to them, I would 100% be racist because I compared them to something simply based on their skin. So why, if I was compared to someone because of the color of my skin, was it not racist?
