Lot presented his daughters to the public because he was willing to sacrifice all he had to please Yahuah, for he did not want the angels to be burdened with the trouble (hospitality is Torah). As Abraham did with Isaac, Lot offered a sacrifice of all he held dear to Yahuah Elohiym in this instance.
This is going to sound silly but what are targums???
Adam, I think I found the answer to the question of offering the daughters to the sodomites…….in the writings of Abraham that you read, look at the time mark of 38:32? Maybe , somewhere close to that in chapter 120:15 ……”Wherefore, ye shall do nothing unto me nor my daughters nor the strangers that are within my gate nor any of mine household, FOR GOD WILL SMITE YOU IN THE ‘ATTEMPT’.
Lot trusted Yah so much that he knew Yah would intervene if they even attempted to lay with his daughters, so he said that in faith knowing that Yah would protect his household……just as Abraham trusted Yah to provide a sacrifice for Isaac……
