Yes, to answer his question, there is good and evil and satan is real and his demons do tempt, etc., but there is still simply just free will to choose to sin or not to, like in the ways Joe mentioned (jealousy, survival motives, etc.).
My Mom and dad split and we moved into a section 8 housing beside an abandoned house, one night I was woken up by screams I've only heard in horror movies, was a woman screaming at a man telling him "no don't do it" etc and I screamed for mom she told me to go back to sleep but I banged on my window, next morning I went outside and there was a huge ass fire beside my window where a shed sits connected to the abandoned building, I never told the fire department or police but I fear something bad happened that night
