  1. I personally believe you're right Joe.

We get to a planet, and the planet don't give a fuck about us.

Just take a look at our seasons, the earth tilts an insignificant amount (astronomically speaking) and we get seasons that range in temperature all over the planet.

So yeah, cause our dumbasses still can't predict accurate weather forecasts in North Texas, we have 0 hope of predicting possible seasons or geological cycles on planets light years away.

Here's a spookier thing to think about. We would spot this planet, let's say, 2million light years from earth. Pristine, perfect, earth 2.0. Let's assume we can also exceed the speed of light by several orders of magnitude to eliminate travel time.

Well….the light earth we where getting would be 2 million years old. We where looking at the planet, as it was, 2 million years ago. I'd assume since someone as stupid as me knows this we won't make this mistake

You get there, planets a wasteland or the star exploded some time ago. IDK…pick your poison.

…Even scarier still, there is no going back. If we tried to turn around, our relative travel time would only matter to those inside the object moving at those speeds. 1 year, 1 day, wouldn't matter at the speed of light +. To the people on earth, 4 million years have passed since we left and returned….if there are people to come home to. I'm not sure we would even recognize whatever was left of humanity. We don't today, and supposedly a lot of it is only thousands of years old. Not millions.

This factual concept got me thinking….what if we have done just that before? Objects like the London Hammer, or other OOP objects give a bit of credence to this I think.

Like you, I want to believe, and I think we where the aliens all along, all life has propagated on earth, became advanced enough to leave, returned and suffered a catacalism, never returned….or just perhaps….they return every now and again to check out how we are doing, advance tech a bit, deliver warnings, etc.

Just one last thought to go with it. Suppose we leave earth, it's irrefutable fact we adapt to suit our environment. We would look largly different depending on the planet we chose, and how our society moved from that point.

Suppose humans have been doing this for hundreds of millions of years (Not like we would know….let's be real). A species that left a couple million years ago, could have traveled to 🌟 HD 169830, in Sagittarius constellation, a constellation very notable for being linked to religious iconogrophy or legend. This would have only taken them 119.4 years at light speed….I say "only" because space is really….really….big.

The 4th generation would arrive (making lots of assumptions), and colonized, after….who knows how long, their physiological appearance and function might change depending on the environment.

Every factor would play into this, I'd recommend checking out "answers with Joe" he has a great video about it.

Bottom line….if they wanted to return, and retained or improved their technology, they could. Meanwhile…catacalism, famine, war, and general….human shit….have twisted the pre-existing truth so much, our brothers who returned don't recognize us, and choose only to watch out of fear while we do things they absolutely don't understand.

I know I've rambled….if someone is still reading this, thank you. Joe, I hope you read this too, I wrote it while I was buttstonked off a stogie, and it sounded brilliant, but probably isn't..

  2. What if this thumbnail is correct, instead of inferring the actual object has at least some type of modifications OR is entirely engineered, what if they literally throw rocks at us from a far, and DEPENDING on how quick/close/far we deal w the impending threat determines our level of intelligence
