It's better than sleep,sex,food or anything else that can possibly bring you joy. If performed properly it can even give you a spiritual event that will alter your perceptions of reality & your potential.
I see this all the time: an experienced TM meditator fully explains the TM practice, then the listener moves their thoughts to thinking of other therapies (such as floatation tanks), because they just arent ready for something like TM, because they havent yet really accepted they need to eliminate their stress.
Joe strikes me as someone who probably thinks too much, and I suspect he is self medicating (VERY red face) as a mechanism to avoid his stress – a common delusion, until it eventually catches up with them. I dont think self-medicating ever works other than as a temporary relief.
I've been doing trans meditation for about a week now twice a day. It's been incredible. I have a lot less anger and rage and my sleep quality has definitely improved.
Just don’t try so hard in the first place, guys. You’ll live longer. And either way you’ll largely be forgotten a few years after you’ve gone.
