Why is there fire in the Sun? I think first depending on the amount of mass in an area gravitating together determines the type, like whether it's going to be a neutron star or a black hole or a sun. When it's a sun, the biggest ones, if I'm not mistaken burns hydrogen and they appear blue. A slightly smaller solar mass sun like ours still goes through the same fuel in a roughly 70% 30% ratio, until the chemical reaction at the center, the force against gravity runs out of hydrogen and starts burning helium. Helium burning suns appear red in color to the human eye. That's probably what's going to happen to the Sun at some point as well. If I'm not mistaken our sun is destined to be a Red Giant as well before it collapses but our planet (unless we move it out of the way), will be long gone by then. The orangish red suns are the most common in the Universe.
