  1. I got on too late to join in the live chat. But I see there was some discussion about whether not Jesus was God. The Old Testament alone has plenty of references showing He is God. Here are just a few:

    1) The creation story – The word God in Hebrew is Elohim. It is a plural form of the word 'Elôha. So we have "In the beginning 'Elohim' created the heavens and the earth." Then we have the "Spirit of Elohim" that moved across the waters. And the "Lord of Elohim" forms man from the dust of the ground. And of course; who was God speaking to when He said "Let US make man in OUR image after OUR likeness."?
    2) There is also the prophecy of the birth of He who would be RULER in Israel in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2 – which the priests in Jesus' day quoted from to Herod the Great – Matt. 2:1-6)
    3) Isa. 7:14 The word ʿImmānû'ēl means "God with us" or "with us is God" in Hebrew; symbolic and prophetic name of the Messiah, the Christ, prophesying that He would be born of a virgin and would be 'God with us'.
    4) Here's a question people cannot answer if they do not believe Jesus is God: Who is the God of God? Here's a hint: Heb. chapter 1 and Ps. 45:6-7.

  2. RE: Jesus Name. The New Testament was written in Koine Greek, so they used the Greek Name Ieous (not sure I spelled it correctly) You prounounced His Name in Spanish instead of Greek. (Jesus pronounced with an H)
