This reminds me of an experiment I saw of two monkies. They were contained in a transparent box with holes and there was one in each box. They would make both monkies do an identical task and reward them with food. One earned cucumbers as a reward and one earned grapes as a reward. The one that earned cucumbers saw that the other monkey was being rewarded with something much tastier and so it became irritable. After a few repeated trials, the monkey received its cucumber but then threw it back at the researcher and starting making a fuss. Animals are really intelligent!

I don't know why this is something we need to hash over again and again. WE are animals. If we are conscious so are other animals. It's not that complicated. This is just something people don't want to think about because they don't want to take responsibility of using other animals and living things as sustenance. People nowadays are disconnected from nature
Honestly, I'm gonna say no… There are more animals that are already assumed conscious in the world than us, yet we are incarnated as humans, out of all things, this amount of luck could only mean that only humans can be conscious honestly.
