I was a laborer for three right off the boat Italian plasterers. We did the Ritz Carlton in Boston and I had to mix the "mud" and then carry over 100lbs using the stairwell up to the sixth floor.
Best shape I've ever been in, but I was a lot younger then.
When I got home I would just collapse into bed sometimes without eating…too damn tired. And those guys were friggin tough as nails!
