I love what they did but the claim Peter violated ethics rules since he conducted an experiment without the knowledge or consent of the human test subjects (in this case editors and peer reviewers) is actually true. It is obvious WHY that rule exists of course because you don't want to pump them full of something etc. but is not really an issue here, and it wouldn't work if they knew,. Even though no one was harmed and only the editor, could have had their reputation harmed since the reviewers are anonymous he did break that rule.
The Leftist academics' mission to abolish Fascism might have actually been a nobel one if their definition of Fascism was not "anything that disagrees with my authoritarian Communist belief system…"
