Bullying is detrimental and i do believe there should be avenues to confront the involved students with their guardians, and probably a therapist. It can get a bit dangerous when their emotions are heightened and they eventually really hurt each other and of course, that would also be the detriment of the educational institution because the school does still have a responsibility to the state and the parents to look after the kids. Even tho lets say the bullied might get over it and become a learning lesson, id rather have his or her courage mustered from other avenues. Anti fragile for me is for kids to seek out platforms that theyre not comfortable with. For example, a school will always have extroverts and introverts. Lets say the introverted kid needs to be exposed to group works no matter how much he hates it, or let theater and public oral speaking be his club of choice, try a sport even if he is so inclined to believe he is not sporty, expose them to independent thinking, the value of civil debate, and lastly, fail them when his standing is really failing. Some of my clever teachers back then knew students who hated one another to the guts and she would lump them all up in a single group for a group project. It was a fun and somehow enlightening thing to see when they do work it out for the project. Kids not only need to learn from their mistakes, but be comfortable thinking that failures and conflict will constantly happen in their lives and gain the skill of balancing the attributed consequences and relief it can bring
This is an older one but I was bullied as a kid cuz I was small. I dealt with it cuz teachers didn't care. Now I'm the bigger asshole who turned out better in life n I just laugh at bullies cuz I learned they're weak n only pick on the weaker. Now I just smile n those type back down. Even had some bully wanna be back out Infront of me last week, chase me down n start poundin on my window. 90 lbs soakin wet n I'm 250. I just smiled n recited Goodman's line "fuck you blow me" with a smile. He backed up n ran as I reached for window switch.
