Tony Ferguson is the kind of guy to go to the psychic and punch them in the face and ask them if they saw that coming.
Man, just sayin, I'm a hard core skeptic, hate the fakers. But I have, in only a couple of narrow instances, had a very distinct, clear, feel like someone staring a hole through me, turn, around and there it is. Then there is all the vague stuff.
Debunking itself can become a religion. …. That's not saying everything shouldn't be coitized. But debunking itself in this dudes case becomes massive generalizations.
I did enjoy Shermer's interview… as usual…. but he forgets the core of skpeticism sometimes. The "Im sure about JFK" followed shortly after by "oh I didnt know that" was pretty classic Shermer. Being skeptical is mostly about keeping an open mind. You should be saying less "Im certain this is how it was" and more "right now based on my knowledge of the data and evidence, I think its probably this… but Im happy to look at new evidence as it emerges…" Thats a healthy skeptical viewpoint. I think Shermer has contradicted himself at least a couple of times on pretty much every JR interview.
