I believe all engineers and scientists should go through an ethics/philosophy course. At my university, one of the best engineering schools in the country, it is mandatory for all junior level and above engineers to take an ethics class. I believe science majors do as well. Sometimes I think we(scientists and engineers) get lost and maddening over our creations that we forget the consequences. I know that some shitty managers bottleneck engineers and scientists, but this is an issue. People are becoming lazy, dependent, not able to think for themselves, and it is sad. This needs to be addressed.
