ANTICHRIST is the PAPAL DYNASTY!!
8a) Identity of the 2 Horned Beast.
(The Historicist interpretation was held by Great and Famous Preachers of the Past:- Wesley, Whitfield, Spurgeon, Ryle, Moody, Finney, Mordecai Ham, WP Nicholson, Lloyd Jones, Grattan Guinness, Bishop Newton, Augustus Toplady, Hudson Taylor and many others).
Revelation 13:11- “And I beheld another beast coming out of the earth; and he has two horns like a LAMB, and he spake as a DRAGON.”
This beast is the Roman Catholic Ecclesiastical system. A horn stands for a kingdom/ king; read Daniel 7:24 and Revelation 17:12.
This beast has two kingdoms: the SECULAR clergy (ie priests, bishops, archbishops) and the REGULAR clergy (ie abbots, monks, mother superiors, nuns).
The head of this beast represents the pope. This beast is like a wolf in sheep’s clothing and is called the “False Prophet” in Revelation 19:20.
This 2 Horned Beast CONTROLS the 7 Headed/ 10 Horned Beast whose deadly wound was healed (ie it was REVIVED; see verse 12), threatened God’s judgment on the disobedient (verse 13), did false miracles (verse 14), established an image of itself (verses 14,15) which was the Council of Trent.
The Council of Trent spoke and enforced the laws of the Roman Church. True Christians refused to submit to it and were delivered to the military of the secular power of this 7 Headed/10 Horned beast to be killed.
Hence the description “…like a lamb and he spake as a dragon.”
A banner used during the Spanish Inquisition on the island of Goa in the Indian Ocean shows a LAMB holding in its mouth a piece of wood with FLAMES at both ends.
It was painted by Picart in 1722 and is on the internet.
This 2 Horned Beast forced CONFIRMATION on all- the small, great, rich, poor, bond, free; read verse 16.
It forced them to receive the PAGAN CROSS MARK on their FOREHEADS from the RIGHT HAND, (NEVER the Left Hand!*) of a Bishop or above on behalf of the Pope who claims to have the KEYS of Peter to HEAVEN and HELL/ PURGATORY.
This MARK is etched on the RIGHT HANDS of these clergy at their ordination and is traced all the way back to the Pope from whom it comes.
*Baron Porcelli in his old book, “The Antichrist, His Portrait and History” gives the reference in a footnote to Latin documents from the Pope commanding that the Left Hand NOT be used to mark the forehead but only the RIGHT HAND- “See Pontificale Romanum, Pars Prima, De Confirmandis, p1; also Ordo Administrandi Sacramenta.”
Those who wanted to enter heaven had to submit to the Pope and receive his pagan cross mark at the CONFIRMATION CEREMONY.
True Christians REFUSED this pagan cross mark because they had saving faith in Christ ALONE and so they were prohibited from buying and selling (verse 17).
