  1. love the podcast joe but you and this guy obviously know nothing about inflation and the value of the dollar. economic collapse was due to banks giving people loans they couldn't afford especially when they could jack up interest rates at will. that's what cause it.

  2. lol that talk about different sports and comparing countries was funny. The USA does really well in basketball because it's a popular sport in the country, it requires next to no equipment (So everyone can afford to play it), there's a lot of money in the sport in the USA, and you have over 300 million people in your talent pool. That's like half the population of all of the EU. Greece is a much poorer country and has like 11 million people to choose from, and basketball is a "smaller" sport there, even though it is one of the bigger ones in Greece. In most of Europe basketball really isn't "a thing". I've never seen basketball game on the TV, I couldn't name a player from my country etc.

It's the same reason other countries dominate in hockey, handball, football (soccer), cricket, kick boxing, gymnastics, wrestling etc. If it's a popular sport in their country, if it's in their culture, if a certain amount of money is being spent on it etc. they will probably dominate against countries where the sport is less popular.

There's most likely a lot of potentially amazing footballers, wrestlers, archers, cricket players, basketball players etc. walking around random streets all over the world who just never got into the sport they might potentially excel at. I might have become a great kick boxer or hockey player. Who the hell knows. I've never even known anyone who took part in either thing. It's not really something 99,9% of people here play or do so I've never really had a chance to find out if I'd be any good. If a sport isn't really a part of your culture, you most likely have very few places to try it out so you never get the chance at all.
