I've had 6 Eastern Browns on my farm in Northern Victoria this year…..
@2:40 the most Australian comment lol
most people would be surprised that the US has as many or more dangerous animals than Australia.
–source: me growing up in rural US.
I'm terrified of snakes, even a photo gets my heart beating. When I was 7yo, I was at my grandma's house in the countryside and I went inside an old barn and saw a robe swinging and thought it was odd and when I started to look around in the dark I realized it was a snake and saw there were dozens of them surrounding me, I froze for a moment and then ran faster than Usain Bolt.
My grandad from the UK was a mining engineer travelling the world nin the 70's/80's and said he got good and drunk in the outback in Aus and was told… Don't take the short cut in the dark Back to his hotel in town as he would get in trouble… Hourds later and yes, of course he took the fucking short cut down an unlit dusty road…
So lo and behold he came face to face with a 6foot Kangaroo that was err… Slightly perturbed to come across something that wasn't a female Kangaroo during what I'm guessing is their version of tutting season… Full of a slowly ebbing case of Dutch Courage he just stood their eye to eye for what I'm guessing felt like Eons he stomped his foot in order to try a more dominant role in the encounter and the 'roo luckily backed down… He always laughed though because the' roo sniffed then went his own merry way… Grandad Marsh had pissed his pants during the encounter and it seemed to make the 'roo change his mind and hightail it to a more worthy apponant….
Always listen tok the locals he told me, because they fucking know what's what…
Thanks
