We have huge rattlesnakes in NC not very many but when you see them its shocking
I'm glad he's trying to clear this up, the fear mongering about Australian wildlife is insane. America has moose(pretty much the most dangerous mammal in the world to humans next to only the hippo), bears, crocodiles, alligators, about 30 different venomous snakes, and in case everyone forgot a very real giant python invasion that cannot and will not be stopped. It will spread almost 100% throughout the southern USA. Now onto spiders, they have the sydney funnel web spider which hasn't killed a human since the early 80's we have black widows which kill humans every year. One very valid fear from Aussie is the Salties, they are absolute killing machines, and they will tell you that themselves lmao.
I spent a lot of time in nature as a kid. I grew up being as quiet as possible, and nowadays I'm pretty good at it. Once I was strolling through woods at a park and walked right into a whole group of deer. They didn't even hear me coming and I didn't see them at first as it was up a hill. Needless to say, we all scared the crap out of each other when they all darted off from like 15 feet away lol
