Additional thought: if the government is really interested in finding out who did this… Why not exhume JFK and Connolly's bodies and reexamine their wounds?
From my perspective, the most disturbing thing about JFK's assassination is the secrecy. If ALL Oswald really was, was a "lone nut" then why is anything about this classified?

Mike is entertaining to listen to even though he never directly answers anything. I’m always curious how much he actually does know about various things. I could see him not knowing various stuff from long ago just based on the idea that a lot of various confidential stuff tends to be need to know stuff and I imagine he wouldn’t have had needs to know this stuff in his duties so I could get myself to accept that it’s possible he doesn’t know some of this stuff but it also wouldn’t surprise me at all for him to know the truth of both of these events.
Even if he does know what truly happened I’m often surprised at people not understanding why that wouldn’t be shared. Outside of the idea of “he doesn’t spill the dirt because they’ll shoot him” there are a couple realistic reasons he isn’t as open as many want. First, if there were rampant corruptions he knew of and participated in and he spoke on them he essentially destroys any reputation he’s ever had. It’s much easier to just leave it alone and let people speculate rather than come out and ruin your name. And even if he came out and said there hadn’t been nobody would believe him anyways. Second, it’s quite possible that he isn’t allowed to divulge the information. Stuff like this would be really high level clearance information that he has to keep confidential and speaking on that info could result in going to prison. Or of course there’s always the possibility he wants to be intentionally sneaky. But I personally believe in the reputation and confidentiality reasons. But I think some of the annoyances of that is while those are valid reasons to hold things back I think people get frustrated that somebody who can’t fully tell what they know would come into large platforms to discuss these issues and then only provide half answers.
