Joe needs to look into the new Japanese tech from HolyHydrogen, to protect his brain. As people who have taken many blows to the head, risk having issues in the future and imo it’s best to prevent it, plus the tech has so many other crazy benefits with a lot of science to back it up. It’s actually medically approved in Japan
I have a similar story as joe. Unlike him i stopped martial arts in my late 20s. I understand where Joe's coming from when he states there was no future in it. I thought the same. Not true. I have a buddy who has trained since i started back in the early 80s. He opened his own dojo. Does $100k a month income. Not joe level money, but not too shabby.
Mike tyson is close to a perfect human being as far as personality, so kind and caring and just such a sweetheart who woulda thought
I was so glad to be done with Wrestling after high school. My dad pretty much forced me into it, then I got placed into varsity from a lack of team size and school competition. I didn't want to be on varsity schedule, but there was nobody in my school worthy of beating me, JVs were all wimps, we had no good wrestlers my junior or senior year and I just wanted to get a job. It was rough as hell. The worst was we were over trained so my body was getting injured and broken down, on top of a poor & restrictive diet, my coaches were bad. Food availability at home sucked. But the worst was getting my face hit and head taking knees, elbows, shoulders, occasional snuck in fists and gouges (a lot of shitty refs that don't catch them).
In wrestling you still get hit a lot, and I had multiple concussions in those years that effected me noticeably. I had occasional minor drooling problem for a while from something that happened to me and random surges of aggression, including in daydreaming states of mind. The shit scared me. I had to really learn to be chill and control my mind.
“I always wanted to make my mentor happy”
That’s such a powerful driving force for humans
