The fact that Fox hosted a Moon-Landing denial video in the 1990's speaks volumes about that network's penchant for baiting people who thrive on conspiracy theories and making loads of money off of their paranoia and delusions. Sure, NASA did some stupid things for publicity and I agree that it was zealous publicists for the most part, but to deny the fact that the US went to the Moon is ludicrous. I was around in that era, and NASA was fighting for its life because many politicians wanted to kill the program because they thought it was a waste of money and didn't understand – or care about – the scientific value of going to the Moon. I remember, at that time, "science" people were truly dorks or nerds to the larger population and were usually devalued. "Why should we spend money to go to the Moon?" was actually a pretty common sentiment in the late '60's. And I still think that attitude is the kernel of today's anti-Moon-Landing conspiracies.
