There is three main methods of filtration , the lifestraw copy of the sawyer mini has both the nantubule and carbon filter so it’s great for taste. Using that plus tablets plus boil followed up with a separate sawyer or katadyn filter would be my method for filtering very Dirty water.
Always filter your damn water … rinella does this too. It’s so ignorant . Just because you’ve done It X times don’t mean shit! Especially in higher North America , there is TONS OF parasites and bacteria to be concerned with even if it’s coming directly through rock at the spring. Those Appalachian trail hikers know this too, they all tried to drink “from the source” and ended up with parasites or giardia (explosive diarrhea) .
Just run it through a sawyer squeeze or a katadyn it’s fast and easy!
