i think what happened with baseball is money. once you add money tons of money to something things get far more competitive. look at fortnite, it used to be a simple game people derped around with.
now if your realy good you can make 100s of thousands of dollars even millions. which draws everybody in. everybody wants a shot at that cash.
you look at baseball look at how much money is involved. the players get payed insane dollars, the managers the venues the investors.
i mean theres just so much money and its taken so seriously now. like think even sport scouts. they make a ton i bet and if they scout out a guy that can throw a 100 mile an hour fastball i bet they get a nice bonus 😂
like back in the day there just wasnt anywhere near the money involved. like old pros were awesome but think if babe ruth tried out for a team in 2020 😂 i dont think hed even make the cut. like no way. competition is so fierce. i could be wrong maybe babe ruth was a god who knows. but i feel like he wouldnt be anywhere near a top pick.
money breeds competition. and now its not just the players its managers coaches everybody has a job and most of there jobs revolve around finding the best players and preparing them to play there very best. i mean think of even recovery stuff.
last i checked players took cryo showers to ease soreness. if you can come up with something to even shave 5 hours off a guys recovery theres millions of dollars with your name on it 😂
