Bulger was used as a human subject in the Project MK-ULTRA program to research on mind control for CIA in 1956. He and some inmates had volunteered in return for reduced sentences in prison. They were given LSD and other drugs over an eighteen-month period.
Dana got approached by Kevin Weeks. Weeks was Whitey's muscle, some of it anyway. The guy who scares me most was "The Rifleman", Stephen Flemmi. His military record was Bronze Star 187th Airborne, Korea. It was not ok to know these guys. To know them is to be extorted by them. Dana got out of the region over it.

Extortion is Whitey's racket so Dana, knew it was a curse to stay in Boston with this guy on me. I would have done the some thing. It is either that or you have to kill him. Then they will stop. Otherwise, they are taking a piece of you. Irish Mob was my father's thing. He was hanging out with Jimmy "The Gent" Burke in the 1950's. These guys were really dangerous.
I went to a Boston AA meeting in the 1991. It was packed with heroin and cocaine addicts. I mean like a meeting full of desperate addicts (200+) packed into a church basement. I felt like I was going to get robbed in there, but I had a year sober, so I checked in. That was enough for me to see. In retrospect, Whitey Bulger sold all the drugs that got those people addicted. The whole community was effected by that psychologically screwed up thug. And then the FBI got into bed with him to make him a kingpin. One of the biggest embarrassments of the FBI.
