I would have rag dolled the guy. I would have made it look good. I would have ignored the girl and clocked the guy. That is my NY instinct, sorry. Instead of the girl, you should have immediately decked the guy. The lawyers will talk it out. It would have been such a mele your lawyers can tell the court you were being approached by 2 people and one struck you hard. You're reaction was because the guy started fighting you too. You know why your lawyers will say that? Because your going to drop him to the floor and fight him. He will fight back, but both are going to jail for attacking you. That are going to say you threw the first punch? Nope. You would have had a bigger lawsuit if you had immediately clocked the father hard and gone 100% at him.

It it upsetting that there are crazy people that would disturb a performance art act. You have 0 class if you act like this. That is the problem. This isn't a movie theater, it is closer to a theater where a play or an orchestra are playing. Don't get involved, unless the comic is working the room asking you questions. Even then, kind of shut up. Don't get that involved, you'll screw up the act. Let the comic do it for you. "Be the comic" like in "Caddyshack" "Be the ball".
