  1. First time I heard Larry The Cable Guy he was on a radio show on a local station here in Oklahoma. Probably broadcast to several states and ours. But it was before the Blue Collar Comedy Tour so I had never seen him until then and had no clue who anyone but Jeff Foxworthy were. Well before they talked I had always assumed that Larry was an old man from that ridiculous voice he'd do so when I saw Ron White the first time I thought it was Larry. Really tripped me tf out when I actually saw them talking. But I have to say, Ron White was my absolutely favorite on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. I really felt like he was the funniest one out of all of them. Some would say, "Oh, you only like him because he cusses. Grow up!" To which I always reply. "No…. I actually like him because he drinks, tells it like it is, and he's funny as hell…… and he cusses" 😂

  2. 1:11:00 Myths are similar because they were shared around, not because they're true. More pleasing stories propagated, less pleasing ones died out or were absorbed. "Half man, half god" is a common theme because people everywhere are awed by heroes and long to touch something greater than themselves. Thus the stories of Jesus, Hercules, etc. Flood myths are common because people have always lived in coastal areas and river deltas, areas defined by natural flooding and the occasional tidal wave. Thus the stories of Noah, Moses, and others. I could go on all day. Good analogy: Star Wars resonates with many, many more people than Plan 9 From Outer Space, but that goes zero percent of the way towards making Star Wars less fictional. You can't be telekinetic or converse with your dead mentor no matter how many people believe it or how hard you personally wish for it. It doesn't matter, because it's just not real. Someone made it up. The themes are valid — recovering from failure, the dangers of hubris, and so many more — but the specific events and characters are fake. Same with every religion ever. It is highly, highly doubtful that there is anything beyond death, but even if we allow for the possibility, there's no reason to believe any myth has got it right.
