Its so disgusting to see so many of todays Republicans hysterically defend what Eisenhower warned against. The military industrial complex is alive and well and the most wasteful leviathan on earth. The irony is how much that precious military depends on inventions brought about by scientists with their tiny NASA budget and other organizations like them, while the inbred cretins croon "whats the point!?"
Not that the industry of war hasn't come up with useful things, but we should all be crying over how technologically we're held back by the TRILLIONS! That have gone into useless wars and s**t that private military contractors can and do charge whatever price they feel like for. And the government will pay it π whatever the cost! The more exspensive the better! Because if their bureau, or branch, doesnt spend as much as they did last year, their budget shrinks, and wed have more money for other things, but they will never let their money pile shrink! So spend spend spend on s**t we dont need. Hmmm, what to buy? Whats the most expensive thing we can buy with a facade of necessity? Lets just ask our golfing buddies over at Haliburton what they have on the top shelf.
Whats real shitty about this, every single person ive known in the military and working in government sees it happening constantly! They are all disgusted by it, and no individual can do a damn thing about it.

And the wool just continues to be pulled over simpleton republican eyes. They hear military spending, they think "hey, money for the troops!" ππ oh no, its not for them. Their not evwn going to give our troops proper healthcare. Nope those trillions are for a small group of men in a money and power club that you'll never, ever be part of.

This was not a failure. The super collider was only a front to secretly fund a different highly top secret project. It was the best front to justify a budget needed to covertly fund this very different and very top secret project. A few similarities can be drawn between the two projects but the applications are night and day. Very much different. One thing that can be safely said is that it is of a Defense nature, to defend not only the United States of America.
