Technology has advanced, you should not be afraid of X-rays. I work with Nomad X-ray hand held guns, they emit less radiation than your cellphone about as much as a banana. Yes, you should limit your exposure but that’s why we have rules like ALARA: As Low As Reasonably Achievable. We don’t want patients to be exposed to radiation unless necessary for treatment.
