Awesome! Ive wrestled with many of the versus you spoke of wondering and praying. You have the Holy Spirit leading and verifying scripture that would always be argued back and forth. Praise God, and thank you Jesus. And further verifies the SDA's are the remnant. Thanks and God bless all. And bless you pastor Doug, your obedience to the Lord will always be remembered by heaven and earth.
Dear Pastor, I am attending an SDA Church, but many of us do not believe Michael is Jesus. Jesus is God and Michael is His loyal archangel
The commander in Joshua 5:13-15 was Yahweh, not Michael, as in Exodus 3:2-22. Yahweh appears in Genesis 18 in person, and in Genesis 28:14-15 Jacob sees Yahweh in his vision. Also, Jesus appears in Judges 6:11-27 as Yahweh. He was the malak (=messenger= angel) of Yahweh and Yahweh Himself, which implies the concept of the three persons in one God. The verses in Zechariah 9:9; 9:11; 11:13; and 12:10 explicitly show Yahweh IS Jesus. Jesus Himself says He is Yahweh in John 8:58 and in 17:5 He says He was with the Father before the world existed. He didn't say He is like God, but He said He is Yahweh! He is one of the Elohim in Genesis 1:1, and Yahweh God was the one who created Adam and Eve in Genesis 2:7, separate from Genesis 1:27 human beings. (You will find it if you read the verses carefully that Genesis 2:5 is not about the Day 6 of Creation.) Jesus is the "eternal father" to us, the descendants of Adam and Eve, as in Isaiah 9:6. So, please, do NOT identify Archangel Michael with Jesus Christ. Jesus is the creator and Michael is His loyal servant who Jesus trusted with His life as in Revelation 12. Throw away such a non-biblical theology formed by the misunderstanding of the text. You don't want to make the Seventh-Day Adventist Church an angel worshipping church. The Seventh-Day Adventist Church is following Yahweh's word sincerely by keeping the Sabbath and by eating clean food. Don't let all the good effort go to a created being, Michael, who is a wonderful angel, one of the chief princes as in Daniel 10:13. Jesus Christ is NOT one of a few. I hope you would lead the change in getting rid of such a false idea, or a blemish, from the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Thanks!
