I remember reading last year in the first book of Maccabees that they celebrated their victory every year in remembrance of the events. I think it's a good time to read the book of Maccabees and celebrate the sacrifice of those who fought and died to protect Yahuah's law and customs. However, I don't think that it needs to be held in the same regard as his appointed feast days or in conjunction with the winter solstice. Just my thoughts.
