Oh wow, I'm the exact opposite! I retain more when I'm reading that when I'm listening to a book. Especially if it's a book I haven't read before, I sort of zone out and the voices fade into the background. I guess when I'm reading I have to focus more and I get a bit of a visual memory of a sentence or a scene so it sticks more. That's so weird! Lol!
