I’m not arguing that Sebastian’s description of hospitality and entertaining is not Italian but it’s also very Midwestern (for reference I’m from Illinois but not Chicago). I’m only 7% Italian (according to my DNA test and only discovered about 3 years ago) but none of this sounds foreign to me.
His whole bit about “don’t touch the Entenmann’s! That’s for *company*” could’ve been taken straight from my childhood 😂

I agree that many comedians lose the connection with their audience when they detach from middle-class life.
His material is funny because what he speaks about really happens in Italian families.
Why didn’t he drop Pete’s name? We all know that’s a big reason he’s got weed at home.
