Dear Joe & EVERYONE with due respect, Hinduism teaches every living entity has a soul, and thus a consciousness. Why didn’t your mum give birth to a lobster ? Because you reincarnated in the human body in a human family. Hinduism the religion of humaneness evolves humans to obtain simplistic diets to disconnect from karmas which may harm other living beings hence affecting their course of spiritual evolution in the universe. When you eat something rotten you also rot from the inside. Meat is the only source of matter which has the ability to change state. When an animal is killed, it releases exponential stress hormones WHICH make way throughout the body through the blood through millions of micro veins in all the tissues. WHAT you are eating is the fear instilled in flesh, the inhumane cries of that pitty soul which was SLAUGHTERED. Dear Joe Regan your first mistake was not to read this comment. And the second was to use western science which in so many ways changes every 10 years.
