The hallucinations were awesome
I was stationed in Fairbanks, AK and the going joke is that the mosquitos are so big there they can smash a chicken flatfooted…..haha
That makes sense because animals can sense fear and possibly other things. We can’t but we’re smarter and are shaped correctly to build things is why we’re at the top. Unlike dolphins who are smart but don’t have hands. Apes have the advantage in shape and being a land creature and the ability to shape the world. But one on one in a fight with most large predators and we would die even if we had a spear. They’re faster and stronger and have better senses. We developed large communities and technology and “relatively safe places” is a human invention. You won’t get killed by a wolf or a lion or a bear in your city. Possibly in small towns in wilderness areas. But we invented cities where you have to go to a zoo to see a wild animal. Our only threat is each other in these places. This is why “we’re on the top of the food chain”. But we really aren’t in nature one on one. We would have a hard time against a coyote or a small wolf or a mountain lion and no chance against something like a bear. Our communities and technology and strategy allowed us to conquer nature as a group. I know people are annoying but people are why we’re alive. And our ability to teach each other knew things!
