This fucking guy thinks people would be satisfied living with $12,000 a year. He's clearly not getting the point. The point of UBI es to have your basics covered. Oh, also, if you do believe in "the free market" (which has never even been remotely "free" in any country) then just raise the pay of that $10 burger job. Find it irrational? Well, with $1000 more in the pockets of people, the economy will be more lively and you will obviously have more participants in the formal economy (clients).

Universal income seems good on the surface, but it's really a way to turn people into chattel.
Some of his arguments are a bit pathetic, tbh. How many people want to be a "famous" actor? Who cares? And who cares if a you think a comedian is shit? If everybody thinks they're shit they won't get bookings.
Also, the idea that it can't be done "because who would flip the burgers?", come on Tim, think outside the box, man.
