This is the kinda girl that ruins your life with some wild sex
This episode was pretty disappointing especially coming from someone with chronic back issues. I have Teo herniated discs. Have been to many doctors and neurosurgeons and chiropractors. I try to avoid pills when I can. I have had some relief from chiros in the past but have definitely sat in on some bullshit artist sessions which ran like speed dating. 6 patients lying on beds all in the same room as the ‘dr.’ rotates through adjusting them each for 2-5 minutes. The same guy tried the kinetic resistance technique where he pushes down on one leg while you push back and tells you that’s it’s normal then puts all his weight on the other and says ‘see how weak this one is?’ The most relief I have received was from a voodoo chiropractor in kahokamo Missouri and along with adjustment he had me hold water in my mouth then walked around me a few times in a circle. And basically told me I hadn’t been drinking enough water. Which was true. That didn’t cure my herniations but I believe the body has an incredible intelligence to heal itself under the right circumstances and given the proper diet, rest and exercise. Getting out of pain is a sonofabitch but I’m learning now it’s more about prevention and maintenance. Yoga is great, saunas are great. Sleep is great.
I like when Joe argues cause it's friendly and teaches me how to discuss things more effectively.
58:00 I'm an RYT-200 and a NASM-CPT. I wouldn't recommend yoga either. A lot of yoga teachers will see the ease with which she can enter some advanced poses and try to steer her into Ashtanga or some other obnoxiously stretch-centric modality. Someone with Elher Danlos needs to emphasize strength.
