I understand what he means, but when it comes to race relations in particular relying on intuition alone is without a doubt unreliable and dangerous. White people's "intuition" has gotten many black folks killed in this country for nothing.

I think this is true for snap reactions, but with big decisions I think some people allow intuition to hold too much weight in their own mind
