  1. Wow this guy lives by the principle that I’m just now grasping after years of wheel spinning… and it applies to most areas of life not just training. That is, instead of focusing on doing the BEST things to do, focus on doing the things that actually WORK best for you. For example, don’t worry about eating every 3 hours, because even though that might be the scientifically optimal meal timing, it may be detrimental for your situation to try that as opposed to eating 3 meals a day. In other words, aim to do what gets you the best repeatable results, rather than trying to do everything by the textbook. Not understanding this principle is why joe gives this guy so much pushback. Joe is still stuck in that mindset that there is an optimal way to do everything so why would I not focus on doing that?
