UBI is a new idea that old people like Joe can’t accept.
Before UBI, I would seek to make higher education affordable so more people can graduate from university and be able to take on more complex jobs that AI can't do. It might be a remedy for short term issues but in the long run it's the underlying problems that need solved and it's not all because of automation.
This was recorded in 2019 and It’s now 2023 – there has been a global pandemic of Covid-19 that has devastated the world economy. It has accelerated the use of automation because the economy was shut down by all the governments. We now are experiencing record inflation, homelessness and rampant crime. Major cities are all but deserted, New York and San Francisco are economically shrinking. The United States is introducing digital currency to replace cash for greater control of the citizens. America is all but lost.
What I find so inspiring is that he’s actually thought this through on a large scale intact to the nation.
Hey Joe, take the UBI and donate your billions to others. You won’t. And God won’t punish you.
