My mother passed from cancer. When she was being treated, I asked about hearing all about great advances being made in treating cancer. He used the analogy of. A baby walking. The first steps are amazing but that child is not ready to run a marathon. TBI ( I've suffered a stoke leaving me paralyzed on my left side) and cancer are marathons and we are the child learning to walk.
my uncle was in the 75th in the 80s and during desert storm he has some issues from percussion blasts

I’m not a veteran but at 58 years old I’m going through a shit ton of this exact stuff now from excessive head trauma. My last being a severe electrocution 3 years ago. Massive migraine headache daily and much more, suicidal thoughts….
If I knew what they are learning about the fragile Brain, I wonder if I would have continued playing football, martial arts & played bouncer as a young adult.
