Ok, just got to the end of the PC and Eric says religious find ways to get around their rules… I call that being hypocritical, I was indoctrinated at 5 by the evangelical pentecostal charismatic (holy rollers) church. I by my nature was very legalistic with the teachings, it's black and white (red for JC). Anyway, I'm no longer a believer, and Eric makes sense why the maga sfb's are so rules for thee and not for me hypocrite type of peeps… they find ways like a living pretzel to not follow their rule book.
Why are there so many downvotes on this episode? Was there a controversy?
Eric is such a great communicator.
Not sure why Rogan was so pissy in this one. Maybe this was "sober October"? He clearly either doesn't really like Eric or is just not in a great mood. It could be that these two just don't "fit" well together. It feels like Joe doesn't have the capacity for Eric's deep intellectualism and extended analysis of various ideas that Joe wants to be more simple. It's not like Joe isn't smart enough to get it, so probably just not in a great mood this day.
Case in point…Eric takes a bite of something and Joe goes off about how come he can't just make it a few more minutes and that he is basically so weak willed that he can't be uncomfortable for just a few moments. Right Joe, because Eric knew beforehand that eating was some kind of big deal on your podcast…
