Damn it’s pretty cool to know that this guy grew up about 15 minutes from me, Billy Corgan seems like a really cool guy but has a bad rep in my household due to him shaming his own cities music scene in an interview a long time ago he makes great music though regardless.
The whole "scene" mentality of the music world has always seemed super freakin lame. I remember an interview with Kurt Cobain where he said that he loved pop music and was getting hate from his fans for putting pop sounds into his music. They are his fans but hate what he likes? No, they aren't really fans, they just wanted to belong to a "cool" scene so they can brag about how "cool" they are. I hate those kinds of people.
